The purpose of this document is to provide new functionality, enhancements as well as bug fixes for the 4.7 release of the Life Sciences Analytics Cloud (LSAC).

Scope
The scope of the 4.7 release of LSAC includes new features/functionality as well as bug fixes and known issues. This document also ensures that release 4.7 has been validated as per Saama’s validation process (Product Validation CSV Procedure).
Release Notes
As part of the LSAC 4.7 release, the new features and enhancements are listed below. These will be deployed on Saama's DC and AWS.
This release, LSAC v4.7, focuses on several enhancements across the LSAC analytics. Calculation logic has been enhanced across some CI and OI widgets. Certain OI Listings have been enhanced. The Infographics/Summary Cards section, which is part of the CI dashboards, has been improvised. Date and Time logic, on some widgets, has been enhanced for better understanding. The Smart Suggestions module has been supplemented with new suggestions in the Vital Signs & Laboratory Tests domain.
The features/enhancements are categorized and briefly discussed below for better understanding and assimilation.
- Operation Insights
The Operations Insights application provides timely, targeted analytics to enable executives, study managers, and CRAs to monitor and optimize key operational metrics across a portfolio of clinical studies for functional domains such as Enrollment, Subject Compliance, and Site Productivity.
Enhancement! Calculation Logic update for Enrollment Rate and Cumulative Enrollment in Line Chart
Enrollment Rate calculation and Cumulative Enrollment calculation in the Line Chart will stop at the date where ‘Last Patient In’ milestone is achieved. The following dashboards, in the given focus areas, are benefited by the change.

Enhancement! Column additions & UI updates to the ‘Subject Visit Tracker’ widget
The following updates have been made to the Subject Visit Tracker widget:
- The unscheduled visits in the Subject Tracker widget, now appear with scheduled visits, in the order that they are conducted in, in the Visit Name column in the CSV file download.
- The CSV download will be visibly aligned with the UI configuration settings applied to the columns of the Subject Visit Tracker widget table.
- The subject visit data will appear in expanded form for the first active site of the selected study. Users can expand other sites to view site data and then click Collapse All to collapse/close all the site records. Collapse All button is greyed when all site records are closed/collapsed.
- The date captured for various events like Enrollment, Screening, Consented, Randomization, and Visit Conduct will be displayed in the format of the time zone it is seen in.
- Three new columns, namely, Site Name, PI Name, and PI Email have been added to the Subject Visit Tracker widget table.
- The icons for single and multiple unscheduled visits have been changed.
Enhancement! Complete milestone names in Executive Summary dashboard – Portfolio
The data in multiple Parquet files is loaded in discrete portions, which are subsequently persisted in a temporary table. These individual segments are then amalgamated and persisted in the main table.
- Complete names of milestone labels are available in tooltip in Study Details table in Study tab when user hovers over the Info icon that is next to the column name.
- Complete names of milestone labels are available in tooltip in Country Details table in Country tab when user hovers on the Info icon that is next to the column name.
Enhancement! Open Filter Panes on Dashboards
The filter panes will be displayed on the left side, by default, when the dashboard is opened/loaded. This setting is applicable to all dashboards except to the following OI dashboards:

Enhancement! Site Performance dashboard
There is visibility of sites with KPI value as ‘zero’ in the existing widgets (charts and tables) of the Site Performance dashboard.
Enhancement! Addition of columns & UI updates on ‘Actual and Planned Monthly Enrollment’.
The following enhancements have been done to the Actual and Planned Monthly Enrollment widget:
- The widget has been renamed to 'Actual and Planned Enrollment'.
- The following metrics have been added to this widget:
- Planned Enrollment (Cumulative)
- Actual Enrollment (Cumulative)
- Enrollment %
- Existing rows will be renamed as Planned Enrollment (Monthly) and Actual Enrollment (Monthly).
- Cumulative Actual Enrollment will stop showing when the Last Patient In date is identified for the study. The date column will be highlighted with color and an Info icon will show the milestone label and date in the tooltip.
Enhancement! Addition of new columns to Listings relevant to Subject Visit Compliance
Three new columns, namely, PI Name, PI Email, and Subject Status have been added to the following listings accessible in OOTB listing and in KPI Studio Listings. PI Name and Subject Status are also added to the multi-select local filter pane of the following listings.

The Clinical Insights application enhances your analytics capabilities for more accurate data review and better decision making. Clinical Insights removes the lag time between the data requests and data availability by eliminating manual work, removing data management complexity, and presenting intuitive patient and cohort level dashboards.

Enhancement! Rearrangement of Summary Cards in SCE dashboard
Summary cards in the AE, MH, and CM tab (domain) of the SCE dashboard have been rearranged based on the Study/Event level categorization.
Enhancement! Updates on the AE Subject Count table
The label ‘Randomized Subjects’, in the AE Subject Count table, has been changed to read as ‘Enrolled/Randomized Subjects’ and column logic has been enhanced to handle scenarios when randomized subjects are not present in the study.
Enhancement! Updates to the Adverse Event Listing
The updates to the Adverse Event Listing, present in the AE tab of SCE dashboard, are listed as follows:
- The existing 'rpt_ae' logic has been updated to display the correct count of records in the Adverse Event Listing.
- New column, namely, 'AE End Day' has been added.
- Column logic has been updated to retrieve the CTCAE grading from the USDM table and not from the PLO layer.
Enhancement! Time display updates to Adverse Event OOTB Listing
The Start/End Time columns, in the Adverse Event OOTB Listing, show the user-configured time value.
Enhancement! Enhanced performance of ‘Adverse Event – Toxicity Profile: Study’ dashboard.
The performance of the Adverse Event – Toxicity Profile dashboard in the focus area Study has been enhanced as per the NFR requirements.
Enhancement! Error fixes on CQS Schema
The ‘endpoints valid’ warnings have been fixed on ‘Edit CQS Schema’.
Enhancement! Column addition to USDM layer
A new column ‘AETRTEM’ has been added to the AE table in the USDM schema.
Enhancement! Column headers to CM table & MH table
The column labels have been updated in the Concomitant Medication table and in the Medical History table, present in the CM tab & MH tab respectively of the SCE dashboard.

Enhancement! Removal of metrics
The following metrics, associated with baseline deviation, have been removed. These are:
- The metric '%Change from Baseline' has been removed from Labs tab in the SCE dashboard - Patient Profile.
- The dashboard 'Lab Spaghetti Plot: Baseline Deviation' - Patient Profile has been removed.
Enhancement! Logic Update on Demographic Listing – SCE
To show correct data under Demographic Listing, that is in the DM tab of SCE, the query/logic has been updated to capture screening data based on the field ‘vsseq’ value for each subject & vstest in the VS table.
Enhancement! Correct count of records in Solid Tumors tab
Code fix has been done to show the correct count of records in the Disease Response & Clinical Classification Listing widget table and in the summary cards: Subject with Progressive Disease and Subjects with New Lesion in the Solid Tumors tab of SCE.
Enhancement! Correct count & percentage of subjects in Medical History table
Code fix has been done to show the correct count and percentage of subjects in the Medical History table present in the MH tab of SCE.
Enhancement! Units for Weight, Height, and BMI
The values of weight, height and BMI will be accompanied with their corresponding units in the Demographic Listing, present in the DM tab of SCE. The column header BMI will show as Body Mass Index.
Enhancement! Negative values on X-axis (Relative Study Days)
The X-axis (Relative Study Days) of the Patient Story widget, in the DM tab of SCE, will be able to show negative values as per the available data.

- Smart Suggestions
Smart Suggestions AI tool increases the potential to make insightful decisions based on suggestions generated using AI ML which is a much time-saver as it speeds up the data analysis by 60-70 percent for medical monitors.
Smart Suggestions has been implemented on the SCE dashboard in Clinical Insights (Patient Profile). The objective here is to identify and capture succinct unique patterns in clinical data and to be able to detect risk factors in the early phases of the study. To analyze and extract meaningful information from complex clinical data, a powerful computing tool is necessary.
